Save, preview, and reuse reference voices for dubbing so you do not have to rebuild the same voice setup for every project.
Usage
Use Voice Library to keep reusable reference voices ready for dubbing and voiceover workflows.
This is the right place to upload or record a short reference clip, label it, set a default, and reuse it across later dubbing sessions.
Before you start
Voice Library accepts reference audio that VoxStudio can transcode into a clean WAV clip before saving.
The system only uses the first 10 seconds of input, trims leading silence when detected, and caps the saved reference to 5 seconds.
After trimming, the saved clip must still be at least 3 seconds long or the reference is rejected.
Avatar uploads are optional, but if you add one it must be PNG, JPG, or WebP and 2MB or smaller.
For the best result, use a clean spoken sample with minimal background noise and clear pronunciation.
Step-by-step instructions
Open Voice Library
Go to Workbench → Voice Library from the sidebar or open it from the dubbing voice picker when you need to manage voices.
Create a new reference
Choose New reference, then either upload an audio file or record a short voice sample directly in the browser.
Review the staged clip
VoxStudio trims leading silence, limits the clip length, and lets you preview the processed sample before saving.
Add details
Set the language, gender, display name, transcript text, and optional avatar so the voice is easier to recognize later.
Save and reuse
Save the reference, then select it in Create Voiceover or dubbing flows when you need that voice again.
Manage your library
Later you can preview, rename, set a default voice, or delete custom references from the same page.
Tips and examples
A short, clean clip usually works better than a long noisy sample.
Include the exact spoken transcript when possible. Name plus script helps you recognize and reuse the right reference later.
Set one default voice per language if you repeatedly dub similar content. That reduces setup time in the preview modal.
Common problems and fixes
Why was my reference audio rejected as too short?
After silence trimming, the clip must still be at least 3 seconds long. Record or upload a slightly longer spoken sample.
Why did VoxStudio trim my clip automatically?
The library normalizes reference clips by trimming leading silence and capping the saved sample to 5 seconds so the model gets a short, usable reference.
Why can’t I upload my avatar?
Only PNG, JPG, and WebP avatars up to 2MB are accepted. Convert the image and retry.
Why is my saved voice missing from dubbing?
Refresh the voice picker or reopen the dubbing modal. Newly saved references may need a moment to appear in the selection list.

Yes. Voice Library supports browser-based recording and automatically turns the result into a saved reference clip.
Can I have more than one custom voice?
Yes. You can keep multiple custom references and choose one as your default for later workflows.
What is the difference between a default voice and a saved voice?
A saved voice stays in your library. A default voice is simply the one VoxStudio prefers first for later dubbing flows.
Can I edit the transcript or name later?
You can rename and manage your saved reference entries later from the library.
