Slides
Generate a playable slide deck from a meeting session, refine it with AI instructions, adjust style and motion, follow evidence back to the transcript, and share a ready deck with a public link.
Usage
Use Slides when a meeting session needs a visual recap instead of only transcript text, subtitles, summary, or short-form clips.
Slides turns transcript evidence into a playable deck with quotes, insights, decisions, action items, speaker views, timestamps, and motion.
This workflow is best for meeting recaps, stakeholder updates, workshop summaries, customer call readouts, and internal presentation drafts that should stay tied to source evidence.
Before you start
Slides is only available for meeting sessions. Other session source types can still use transcript, summary, subtitles, clips, or export workflows when those artifacts are available.
Open a completed meeting session first, then switch to the Slides tab inside the Transcript Session Workspace.
Initial generation uses transcript evidence from the meeting. Cleaning up important transcript text before generation can improve the deck.
Slide generation can be queued or running before the deck becomes ready. The tab refreshes while an active job is in progress.
Each meeting shows one current Slides deck. Internal AI versions are kept behind the scenes instead of appearing as separate decks in the workspace.
Only the current ready deck can be edited with AI instructions, opened in fullscreen for review, or shared with a public slide link.
Step-by-step instructions
Generate the first deck
Start from a completed meeting session and let VoxStudio create the first playable deck from transcript evidence.
Open a completed meeting session
Go to Recent, Tags, Shared Sessions management, or another session list and open the meeting session you want to turn into slides.
Switch to the Slides tab
Inside the Transcript Session Workspace, choose Slides from the workspace tab row. The tab shows one current deck preview, or a plus button and empty state when no deck exists yet.
Open the full-screen Slides editor
Click the plus button to create the first deck. After a deck exists, click Edit; clicking the preview itself only plays or navigates the deck.
Add an optional prompt when the deck needs a specific angle
Use the full-screen editor prompt for guidance such as investor-ready, decision-focused, workshop style, or customer recap. Leave it blank when the default meeting recap is enough.
Click Generate slides
VoxStudio creates a queued slide deck job from the current meeting evidence. Wait while the status moves through queued or running toward ready.
Review the ready deck before sharing it
When the deck is ready, play through the slides and check whether the title, flow, quotes, decisions, and supporting evidence match the meeting.
Navigate the current Slides deck
Use the lightweight tab preview for playback, then open the full-screen editor when you need navigation or editing controls.
Play or navigate from the tab preview
The preview remains read-only and does not open the editor when you click it.
Click Edit to open the full workspace
The full-screen editor provides the slide list, central viewer, AI controls, styling, presentation, and sharing without competing with the meeting video layout.
Wait for active jobs to finish
The tab polls while generation or AI edits are running and automatically replaces the preview when the new current version is ready.
Review the deck and source evidence
Use the center viewer as the presentation surface and evidence checkpoint.
Play through the deck with motion enabled or reduced
Use the motion toggle to choose the viewing mode that is easiest to inspect. Motion affects playback behavior, not the underlying transcript evidence.
Open fullscreen for presentation review
Fullscreen is available when a ready deck is selected. Use it to inspect spacing, readability, and slide pacing before sending the deck to others.
Click evidence references when you need source context
Evidence references can jump back to the matching transcript segment and timestamp, helping you verify that a quote, decision, or action item is grounded in the meeting.
Treat generated slide content as a draft
Slides are generated by AI from meeting evidence. Review names, claims, action ownership, and wording before using the deck as a final source of truth.
Edit content, style, and motion
Use the right panel to ask AI for changes while keeping the current deck as the main editing surface.
Enter an edit instruction for the current deck
After a ready deck exists, type an instruction such as tighten the executive summary, focus more on decisions, or make slide 3 clearer. Apply edits updates the working deck after the AI job finishes.
Use Regenerate for a fresh draft
When you want a different draft from the transcript instead of a targeted edit, use Regenerate as the explicit fresh-start action.
Adjust theme, transition, and motion intensity from the style controls
Style and motion controls save controlled changes directly to the current deck while preserving the meeting evidence.
Choose fonts when the deck language or visual style needs a different typeface
Font controls update heading, body, or mono font choices on the current deck while keeping the content grounded in the same meeting.
Share a ready slide deck
Share links are created from the current ready deck.
Review the current ready deck before sharing
Sharing is disabled until a ready deck exists. Open Edit from the Slides tab to access sharing controls.
Open Share and choose the link lifetime
Pick a preset lifetime such as 1 hour, 24 hours, or 7 days, or enter a custom TTL in hours before creating or refreshing the link.
Create and copy the public link
Create and copy link enables sharing for the current deck and copies the public slide deck URL when clipboard access is available.
Open or revoke the public page when needed
Use Open public page to inspect the shared viewer. Use Revoke when the deck should no longer be available through the existing public link.
Tips and examples
Clean the transcript around important decisions and quotes before generating Slides when accuracy matters.
Use a prompt only when the default deck needs a clearer direction. Short, specific instructions usually produce easier-to-review edits.
Use the tab preview for quick review and open Edit only when you need the full workspace.
Use evidence jumps to verify names, commitments, and timestamps before treating slide content as final.
Set a short share-link lifetime for temporary review and revoke the link when the deck should no longer be public.
Common problems and fixes
Why can’t I use Slides on this session?
Slides are only available for meeting sessions. If the session came from another source type, use the available transcript, summary, subtitles, clips, or export workflow instead.
Why is the deck still queued or running?
Slide generation is asynchronous. Large meetings, queue pressure, or model fallback can make the job take longer. Wait for the status to become ready, then refresh if needed.
Why do I only see one deck?
Each meeting exposes one current Slides deck. AI edits and regeneration replace the visible current version while internal versions remain behind the scenes.
Why can’t I share the deck yet?
Only the current ready slide deck can be shared. Wait for generation to finish, then return to current before opening Share.
Why does a shared slide link stop working?
The link may have expired, been revoked, or pointed to a deck that is no longer available. Create a new share link from the ready deck if it should be shared again.
Why did a quote or action item look wrong in Slides?
Slides are generated from AI interpretation of transcript evidence. Review the source transcript and use an edit instruction to correct or remove inaccurate content.
FAQ

Can I generate Slides for uploads, recordings, or net videos?
Not currently. Slides are only available for meeting sessions.
Can I edit a generated slide deck?
Yes. Click Edit beside the tab preview to open the full-screen editor, then use AI instructions or turn on direct editing. The current deck updates after the change is saved.
Can I change the visual style?
