Google Calendar Integration

Connect Google Calendar in read-only mode so VoxStudio can discover events with supported meeting links.

Usage

Connect Google Calendar when you want VoxStudio to show future calendar events that contain supported meeting links.

This integration is for read-only meeting discovery. It does not access meeting content or record meetings by itself.

Before you start

The integration uses read-only Google Calendar scopes. VoxStudio does not edit or delete your calendar events.

Google Calendar access does not send a bot or record a meeting on its own. It only helps VoxStudio show candidate meetings for workflows you choose or enable.

You need to be signed in to the correct Google account before authorizing if you manage multiple calendars.

Disconnecting stops future sync but does not erase sessions already created from previous workflows.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the Google Calendar integration page

Go to Settings → Meeting → Google Calendar.

  2. Start the connection flow

Click Connect Google Calendar and approve the requested read-only scopes.

  3. Return to VoxStudio

After authorization, VoxStudio stores the connection status and can read event metadata needed for meeting discovery.

  4. Use discovered meetings in your workflow

When eligible events contain supported meeting links, VoxStudio can show them so you can choose or enable the related meeting workflow.

  5. Disconnect when you no longer need sync

Use Disconnect in VoxStudio or remove access from your Google account security settings.

Tips and examples

Use the same Google account that receives the meeting invites you care about, otherwise VoxStudio cannot see the event metadata.

If a meeting is missing, check whether the event actually includes the meeting URL in the connected calendar account.

If you only need to transcribe one meeting immediately, manual Meet Bot submission may be faster than setting up the calendar first.

Common problems and fixes

Why does authorization keep failing?

The OAuth request may have expired or been cancelled. Restart it from the integration page and make sure you finish the Google consent flow in one pass.

Why is Google Calendar connected but no meeting appears?

The calendar event may not contain a supported meeting link, or it may belong to a different Google account than the one you connected.

Does this let VoxStudio read Gmail or Drive?

No. The current scope is focused on read-only calendar event metadata, not Gmail, Drive, or other Google services.

Why does disconnecting not remove old transcripts?

Disconnecting stops future sync. It does not delete content already created inside VoxStudio.

FAQ

Does Google Calendar connection automatically send a bot to every meeting?

No. The integration only shows candidate meetings. Bot actions still depend on meetings or workflows you explicitly choose or enable.

Can VoxStudio change my calendar events?

No. The integration is read-only.

Is this required for Zoom meetings?

No. Zoom meetings can use the Zoom integration path. Google Calendar is optional and focused on event discovery.

Can I revoke access from Google directly?

Yes. Remove VoxStudio from your Google account’s third-party app access list if you want to revoke it outside VoxStudio.
